I'm currently recruiting for an Engineering Tutor on behalf of a leading training provider based in Wythenshawe. This is an ongoing temporary assignment offering an excellent £50 per hour, making it an ideal opportunity for experienced engineers, trainers, instructors, or lecturers seeking a rewarding and flexible role.

About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to use your engineering knowledge and industry experience to support apprentices working towards their Engineering Technician Standard.
You will deliver engaging classroom and workshop-based learning, helping learners develop the technical knowledge, practical skills, and professional behaviours required to succeed within the engineering sector.
Whether you're currently working within engineering and looking to transition into training, or you're an experienced tutor seeking your next contract opportunity, this role offers the chance to make a genuine impact while working within a supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality classroom and practical workshop sessions.
- Teach Engineering Principles, Engineering Mathematics, Scientific Principles, and Technical Engineering Theory.
- Support, coach, and mentor apprentices throughout their learning journey.
- Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Monitor attendance, engagement, achievement, and progression.
- Develop engaging lesson plans and learning resources.
- Work closely with employers and stakeholders to ensure training meets industry requirements.
- Maintain accurate learner records and documentation.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Essential Requirements
Relevant Engineering qualification (Level 3 or above)
Strong industry experience within an engineering discipline
Ability to explain technical engineering concepts clearly and effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and planning skills
Good IT skills and confidence using digital learning systems
Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Requirements
Teaching, Assessing, IQA, PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent qualification
Experience delivering apprenticeships or vocational training programmes
HNC/HND or higher Engineering qualification
Knowledge of the Engineering Technician apprenticeship standard
Experience within Further Education, training, or workshop-based learning environments
