This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor looking to take the next step in their career within a global, multi-disciplinary construction consultancy.

The Role
As an Associate Building Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering high quality building surveying services to a range of clients. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, from condition surveys and planned maintenance through to refurbishment, defect diagnosis and project delivery.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing professional building surveying advice to clients.
• Undertaking building surveys, condition surveys and defect inspections.
• Preparing specifications, schedules of works and contract documentation.
• Managing and delivering refurbishment and maintenance projects.
• Administering building contracts and monitoring works on site.
• Preparing reports, budgets and cost estimates.
• Managing client relationships and contributing to business development.
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.
• Taking responsibility for the successful delivery of projects, including programme, quality and commercial performance.

About You
We are looking for an experienced Building Surveyor with a strong technical background and a genuine interest in developing their career within a leading consultancy.

Ideally, you will have:

• MRICS qualification, or be close to achieving chartered status.
• Strong experience within building surveying consultancy.
• Good knowledge of building pathology, construction methods and relevant legislation.
• Experience of contract administration and project delivery.
• Strong communication and client management skills.
• The ability to manage your own workload whilst supporting and developing others.
• A commercial mindset and an interest in contributing to the wider growth of the business.
