Help Shape the Future of Adult Learning

The WEA is the UK's largest voluntary sector provider of adult education. As a charity, we're passionate about making high-quality learning accessible to everyone, helping people develop skills, confidence and opportunities while tackling inequality and promoting social justice.

We're looking for an organised and proactive Contract Planning & Resource Manager to play a key role in ensuring our education programmes are delivered effectively across the North of England.

About the Role

As our Contract Planning & Resource Manager, you'll be responsible for turning contractual requirements into practical, deliverable plans. Working closely with Operational and Relationship Leads, you'll oversee the planning, scheduling and allocation of resources to ensure high-quality learning opportunities are delivered efficiently and effectively.

This is a varied role where you'll have a direct impact on how our services are planned and delivered. You'll help maximise venue usage, optimise tutor deployment and drive continuous improvements across planning, scheduling and operational processes.

Regular travel across the contract area will be required, with occasional travel further afield.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage delivery plans that meet contractual requirements and organisational objectives.
  • Lead the planning and scheduling of learning provision across multiple locations.
  • Coordinate resources, including tutors and venues, to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor delivery performance and make adjustments throughout the year to meet targets and learner needs.
  • Improve planning processes, communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Support the delivery of high-quality services through effective resource management and operational planning.

About You

We're looking for someone who can bring:

  • Experience of planning, scheduling or resource management within a complex operational environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • A willingness to travel across the North of England as required.
