Role Purpose
Working as part of a diverse team of Policy Fraud Investigators. Removing fraudulent policies from the book of business and ensure undisclosed, acceptable risks are added to policies so correct premiums can be collected. This role provides a referral point for fraud enquiries from the Fraud Intelligence team, Operational teams, Brokers, and the wider business. The purpose of this role is to protect the business and our genuine customers.

This role provides a referral point for fraud enquiries from the Fraud Intelligence team, Operational teams, Brokers, and the wider business. The purpose of this role is to protect the business and our genuine customers.
Responsibilities:
- Manage workload effectively and efficiently, meeting agreed targets and objectives.
- Complete the full range of Policy fraud tasks identified through counter fraud systems and other referrals, delivering high quality, accurate, documented, independent decisions in line with business rules and fraud risk appetite.
- Take incoming calls from other departments, brokers and customers and deliver an outstanding level of customer service at all times, giving clear, accurate and consistent advice.
- Apply specialist knowledge, skills, and appropriate behaviours effectively to achieve a successful outcome only referring cases to the Senior Investigator or Technical Lead where necessary.
- Develop and maintain an appropriate knowledge of all relevant systems/products/services/business rules & processes.
- Share best practices and knowledge with colleagues, providing appropriate help, guidance and advice and mentoring less experienced staff to assist in their development.
- Participate, in activities and make recommendations to improve operating processes and procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements relevant to the role. Support and promote compliance with those requirements within the role and the business.
- Build & maintain strong working relationships with all relevant stakeholders such as our Financial Crime, Tech Underwriting and Brokers etc.
Must have
- Experience in the General Insurance Industry
- Counter Fraud/Underwriting knowledge
- Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A keen eye for detail
- Decision making
- Good organizational skills
- Experience in using Fraud/investigative specific software packages and tools
- Motor Underwriting Knowledge
