The successful candidate will have an interest in Lipidology and will work under the supervision of Professor Soran

The Lipid Clinic provides a regional tertiary referral service for lipoprotein disorders, genetic dyslipidaemias, lipoprotein apheresis and lipodystrophies and is designated by NHS England to prescribe high-cost drugs and provide care for patients with Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolaemia

The MRI lipid team is nationally recognised and has a proven track record in clinical research, with output contributing to changes in national and international practice

Main duties of the job The full job description is available within the advert for review, a few of the key responsibilities are:

Attend Lipid Clinic to support regional tertiary service for lipoprotein disorders

Contribute to departmental audit and research, and professional education

Perform any other duties that are considered necessary for the efficient working of the service, and which are mutually agreed to be relevant to the post

Person specification Qualifications GMC Registration

MRCGP or equivalent

Experience in Clinical Research

Evidence of commitment to CPD in Endocrinology and Diabetes

Clinical Experience Clinical skills in General Practice

Clinical skills in Internal Medicine

Diabetes / Lipid Clinic Experience

Management Experience in clinical audit / patient safety initiatives

Experience in service improvement

Experience of leadership

Teaching Teaching experience to medical and non-medical staff

Postgraduate qualifications in medical education

Employer certification / accreditation badges You must have appropriate UK professional registration
