Job Title: Acute Occupational Therapist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Acute Occupational Therapist to join our NHS client’s dynamic team in Manchester, Greater Manchester. This position is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract, offering competitive rates
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will provide high-quality occupational therapy services to patients in an acute care setting, focusing on rehabilitation and recovery. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment programs for individuals with a variety of conditions, including physical, mental, and developmental disorders. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, developing individualised treatment plans, providing therapeutic interventions, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care. You will also engage in service evaluation, audit, and research to enhance the quality of care provided
Qualifications and Experience:
Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist
Experience in acute care and rehabilitation settings
Strong assessment and treatment planning skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
Experience in a specific area of practice (e.g., mental health, pediatrics, geriatrics) is desirable
Skills in group work and program planning are desirable
Experience in service evaluation and research is desirable
