Stratton Wealth Management

Manchester | £40,000–£45,000 | Hybrid | Real Influence, Real Advice

You’ve seen it all.

The “Paraplanner” roles where you’re just an expensive admin.

The ones where you’re told what to recommend before you’ve even seen the fact find.

The firms with templated reports, dusty processes, and the phrase “we’ve always done it this way.”

You didn’t do all those exams to become a human spell-checker.

You want to be listened to. Challenged. Trusted.

And that’s where this role comes in.

Welcome to Stratton Wealth Management.

A fast-growing, chartered firm in Manchester that believes the best advice starts with the paraplanner.

Not an afterthought. Not a support function.

At Stratton, the paraplanner leads the advice.

You’ll sit at the heart of the advice process, working with your pod of advisers and administrators, diving into technical cases, and shaping what clients actually do with their wealth.

What You’ll Actually Do

  • Write high-quality, clear, client-first suitability reports

  • Build cashflow models using CashCalc

  • Use your technical brain: pensions, IHT, trusts, investments, drawdown, you name it

  • Collaborate with advisers — but challenge them when needed

  • Help steer clients through decisions that change their lives

What You’ll Get

  • £40,000–£45,000 depending on experience

  • 33 days holiday

  • Hybrid working (3 days in, 2 from home)

  • Exam support (and support if you're heading towards Chartered)

  • Strong internal culture with ambitious plans to evolve a Head Office Advice Team

  • A seat at the table, your input shapes the process, not just the paperwork

You’ll Fit In If...

  • You’re Level 4 qualified, ideally with 4+ years of paraplanning experience

  • You care more about the why than the what

  • You enjoy working collaboratively but value autonomy

  • You take pride in your writing and planning work — because it matters to you

  • You’ve got experience with IO, FE, EValue, and other core tools (or you're quick to pick them up)

Why This Role Matters

Because at Stratton, they don’t see paraplanners as background noise.

You’re the difference between “adequate” advice… and the right advice.

This is your chance to be part of a growing firm that values your voice, backs your development, and gives you space to do the job properly.

Apply now or message Mark Penswick to talk it through no pressure.
