Manchester | £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

My client is a specialist North West acoustic consultancy with a small, close-knit team and a reputation for technical precision. They are looking to appoint a Senior Acoustic Consultant to take a lead role on projects and contribute to the continued growth of the business.

About the opportunity

In a small practice, seniority comes with genuine influence. The Senior Acoustic Consultant will have direct input into how projects are delivered, how clients are served and how the consultancy develops.

The work is varied. The consultancy provides noise assessment, measurement, advice and acoustic design, alongside building acoustics and Part E sound insulation testing, for which it is accredited through the Association of Noise Consultants registration scheme. It also designs acoustically sensitive spaces for listening, recording and music, a specialism few consultancies offer.

Key responsibilities of a Senior Acoustic Consultant

• Leading noise assessments and acoustic design projects from enquiry through to final report
• Providing building acoustics advice and overseeing sound insulation testing
• Reviewing technical reports to ensure quality and consistency
• Mentoring colleagues and supporting their technical development
• Managing client relationships and securing repeat work

About you

• Proven experience as an Acoustic Consultant within a UK consultancy
• Degree in acoustics or a related discipline; IOA membership desirable
• Strong report writing and client communication skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Right to work in the UK
