  • Working directly with investors, developers, lenders, asset managers, legal advisers and other professional stakeholders.
  • Preparing proposals, tenders and fee estimates.
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Identifying opportunities to generate new business and supporting the growth of our environmental due diligence service.
  • Mentoring and developing junior and mid-level consultants.
  • Contributing to the continued development of our technical methodologies, services and market offering.

About you

We’re looking for an experienced environmental consultant who can combine strong technical judgement with commercial awareness and excellent client-management skills.

You’ll ideally have:

  • A relevant degree in environmental science, environmental management, geology, hydrogeology, contaminated land or a related discipline.
  • Significant professional experience in environmental due diligence, contaminated land or environmental consultancy.
  • Strong experience delivering environmental due diligence assessments and reports.
  • A good understanding of UK environmental legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience identifying and evaluating environmental risks and liabilities in relation to property or corporate transactions.
  • Excellent report-writing and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex environmental issues clearly and concisely.
  • Strong project management and client-management skills.
  • Experience working with professional advisers, investors, developers, lenders and other transaction stakeholders.
  • Commercial awareness and experience contributing to proposals, tenders and business development.
  • The confidence to take ownership of projects and build trusted client relationships.
  • Experience mentoring and supporting the development of junior colleagues.

For Associate level, experience in leading client relationships, developing business and supporting team growth would be advantageous.

For Principal level, we’d particularly welcome candidates with a strong track record of technical leadership, client development, project delivery and mentoring.
