Young Persons Housing Support Worker

Location: based at home - travel to Trafford, Manchester
Hours: Mon-Fri 9:00am - 5:00pm

Our client, a social housing provider in Manchester, is looking for a Support Worker to work within their Young Persons Foyer.

• Do you drive and have access to a car?
• Do you have an Enhanced DBS dated within the last year?
• Do you have experience working with young people aged 16-25?
  
  Responsibilities of the Young Persons Support Worker include:

• Managing a caseload of clients aged 16- 25 years
• Working with a variety of clients with complex needs including homelessness, substance misuse and young offenders
• Signposting clients to other services within the community
• Completing support plans and risk assessments
• Promoting clients to live independently and build lasting life skills
• Travelling to meet clients in dispersed properties

Essential Requirements of the Housing Support Worker:

• Full UK Driving Licence and business insurance
• Enhanced DBS
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (desirable but not essential)
• Experience working with young people aged 16-25 (essential)
