Desktop Liability Adjuster - #2186248

Our client, an independent loss adjusting practice, handles casualty claims end to end for insurers, MGAs, brokers and legal partners. As their Casualty team grows, they’re looking for a Desktop Liability Adjuster to manage a portfolio of EL and PL claims.

This is a great role for a casualty claims handler who wants to move into adjusting, or a desktop adjuster looking for more variety and a clear route into field work. Location is flexible and full support is given towards professional qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a desktop portfolio of EL, PL and Products claims, including personal injury and property damage
• Investigate liability by phone and in writing, gathering evidence and statements
• Assess policy cover and legal liability and set accurate reserves
• Negotiate and settle claims within your authority
• Produce clear, timely reports in line with client SLAs
• Liaise with insurers, policyholders, brokers and claimant solicitors

What We’re Looking For

You’ll have a solid grounding in casualty claims and want to keep building your technical knowledge.

• Experience handling EL, PL or general liability claims at an insurer, TPA or loss adjuster
• Working knowledge of CPR, pre-action protocols and the Claims Portal
• Strong written communication and report writing
• Well organised and able to manage a busy caseload
• Studying towards Cert CII, ACII or CILA, or keen to start
