Location: Manchester City Centre
Salary: £30,000-£35,000 DOE
Working pattern: Hybrid - 3 days in the office, 2 days from home

We're looking for a driven and proactive finance professional to join a growing Finance team as an Accounts Receivable Specialist.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in transactional finance who is looking to take ownership of their work, develop their skills and play an important role within a busy finance function.

You'll be responsible for supporting the end-to-end accounts receivable process, including billing, invoicing, cash allocation, reconciliations and credit control. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems and identifying ways to improve processes.

• Managing the billing and invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met.
• Overseeing customer accounts, allocating payments and investigating discrepancies.
• Proactively chasing outstanding invoices and resolving payment queries.
• Monitoring overdue debt and supporting effective credit control.
• Working with internal teams and customers to resolve billing issues and disputes.
• Completing account reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Producing reports to monitor outstanding debt and cash collection.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.

• Previous experience in a transactional finance role, ideally within accounts receivable, sales ledger or credit control.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Confident communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and handle payment queries.
• A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload.
• Someone who takes ownership, uses their initiative and enjoys finding solutions.
• A genuine interest in improving processes and developing their finance career.

Experience with finance systems, advanced Excel or AAT studies would be advantageous.

• £30,000-£35,000 salary, depending on experience.
