Company

A high-growth pharmaceutical business based in Manchester is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join the finance team on an interim basis to support a busy period through Q4 and Q1. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced and evolving organisation where you'll gain broad exposure across the finance function. Working closely with the Finance and wider finance team, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of transcational, month-end processes while supporting the integrity of the general ledger. This is a hands-on, varied role suited to someone who enjoys getting involved across multiple areas of finance and can quickly add value in a dynamic environment.

Role

You'll play a key part in supporting month-end and year-end processes, maintaining the general ledger, preparing journals, accruals and prepayments, and performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations. Working closely with the wider finance team, you'll assist with management accounts production, audit preparation, cash flow reporting and financial analysis, while partnering with stakeholders across the business to investigate and resolve accounting issues. This is a hands-on role where you'll have the chance to drive process improvements, contribute to key finance projects, and make a genuine impact within a fast-paced, growing organisation.

Requirement

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar finance position
• Strong Excel skills
• Able to hit the ground running and work independently when required
