Transactional Finance Manager | Greater Manchester | Hybrid | 6 Months | Inside IR35 | Day Rate Negotiable

We are supporting a complex organisation in the search for an experienced Transactional Finance Manager to join the business on an interim basis.

This role will take ownership of a key transactional finance function, with a particular focus on Accounts Payable, ensuring the team delivers an efficient, accurate and customer-focused service across the business. Working closely with finance leadership and operational stakeholders, you will provide hands-on leadership to an established team whilst maintaining robust controls, driving performance and ensuring supplier relationships are managed effectively.

A core requirement for this role is previous experience using Continia within an Accounts Payable environment. The successful candidate will be expected to bring practical knowledge of the system and support its effective day-to-day utilisation across the finance function.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the transactional finance team, with primary responsibility for the Accounts Payable function
• Ensure supplier payments are processed accurately and on time whilst maintaining strong financial controls
• Act as a key contact for Accounts Payable matters, building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Monitor performance, resolve operational issues proactively and drive service excellence across the team
• Support the effective utilisation of Continia and identify opportunities to improve efficiency within day-to-day processes

About You

• Proven experience leading an Accounts Payable or wider transactional finance team within a complex organisation
• Previous hands-on experience using Continia within an Accounts Payable environment is essential
• Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate, develop and support teams
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build credibility across the business
• Experience of ERP systems, with Microsoft Business Central exposure advantageous
