WE’RE HIRING: HEAD OF PLANNING | MANCHESTER

£90,000–£95,000 + Package
Manchester | Hybrid Working (2–3 days in the office/client meetings)
Permanent Position

I’m working with our client to recruit a Head of Planning to lead and develop their growing planning capability across the infrastructure sector.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced planning professional to take ownership of a growing team, influence business strategy and play a key role in the continued expansion of planning services.

The Role:
Lead and develop a team of 4–5 planners, including Senior Planners.
Provide technical leadership across infrastructure projects.
Oversee programme development, baselines, critical path analysis, progress monitoring and recovery planning.
Build strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
Contribute to proposals, tenders, client meetings and business development.
Work closely with directors to shape and grow the planning function.

What We’re Looking For:
Significant planning or project controls experience within construction, infrastructure or major projects.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Strong technical knowledge of project planning and programme management.
Experience developing client relationships and supporting business growth.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
