Senior Fire Engineer - Consultancy
Salary/Package - £65,000 - £70,000 Basic + Extensive Benefits Package to include Private Medical, Annual Bonus, Car Allowance, Private Pension + More
Location - Manchester
Permanent Position ( Hybrid )
This is a chance to join a well-regarded independent fire engineering consultancy. It has grown quickly from small beginnings into a substantial team of technical specialists with a national office network. They're now looking for a Senior Fire Engineer who specialises in active fire protection systems.
The Role
You'll lead and manage projects across the full range of active fire protection work, including:
- Conceptual design, performance specifications and options studies
- Site inspections and technical reporting
- Sprinkler systems (BS EN 12845, BS 9251, LPC Rules)
- Water mist (BS 8458, BS 8489, BS EN 14972)
- Gaseous suppression (BS EN 15004)
- Wet and dry fire mains (BS 9990)
Beyond technical delivery, you'll coordinate with other engineering disciplines, support and guide colleagues, contribute to training, and take part in business development and bids.
What They're Looking For
- Proven experience with active fire protection systems in a consultancy, construction or property environment
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Fire Engineering or a related discipline, or industry-recognised qualifications or IFE/CIBSE membership
- Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD or Revit
- Strong communication skills and sound commercial awareness
- The ability to manage a varied workload independently
