UK Registered Nurse – Saturday Phlebotomy Clinic - #2170012

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with experience in taking blood samples to support our Client with Saturday clinic in Manchester. You will provide a safe, efficient and reassuring service, helping patients feel comfortable throughout their appointment.

• Confirm patient identity, check blood test requests and obtain consent before taking samples.
• Carry out venepuncture safely and confidently within your training and competence.
• Label samples accurately and arrange appropriate storage and collection for laboratory testing.
• Maintain clear, accurate patient records.
• Follow infection prevention procedures and dispose of sharps safely.
• Support patients who are anxious or feel unwell, escalating concerns appropriately.
• Check equipment and stock levels to keep the clinic ready for appointments.
• Protect patient confidentiality and follow organisational policies.

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Demonstrable competence and recent experience in venepuncture.
• Good communication skills and a calm, compassionate approach.
• Strong attention to detail when identifying patients, labelling samples and completing records.
• Ability to work independently within agreed clinical protocols.
• Availability to work Saturdays in Manchester (9am till 3pm)

• Experience in a phlebotomy, outpatient, GP or community clinic.
• Experience using electronic patient records.
• Up-to-date basic life support training.
