About CDS
CDS develops and supports CODAS, an ERP platform designed around the day-to-day realities of fuel distribution. For over 50 years, we have combined software expertise with practical industry knowledge.
Our customers depend on CODAS to run their businesses. We build long-term relationships, give honest advice and deliver on our commitments, while continuing to invest in our people, services and software.
The opportunity
Help new and existing customers successfully implement CODAS and embed it into their day-to-day operations.
As a senior member of our implementation team, you’ll bring practical judgement to complex requirements, work directly with customers and take ownership of implementation activity through to go-live and handover.
You’ll understand how each business operates, guide customers through change and help users become confident with their systems. You’ll also share your expertise with colleagues and contribute to improving how we deliver implementations.
What you’ll do
- Understand customer processes and requirements, turning them into practical implementation plans alongside project colleagues.
- Take ownership of assigned implementations or workstreams, anticipating problems and keeping customers and colleagues informed.
- Lead customer workshops and contribute to system setup, configuration, testing and go-live preparation.
- Deliver clear, practical user training and supporting documentation.
- Help customers adopt suitable processes and functionality, explaining options and limitations honestly.
- Work with Business Analysis, Product, Development, Support and PMO colleagues to resolve issues and coordinate delivery.
- Support colleagues with complex implementation questions and share knowledge and lessons learned.
- Stay familiar with product developments and help improve implementation methods, handling customer information securely.
What you’ll bring
Strong practical experience of implementing or supporting operational business systems, gained through one or more of these routes:
- Working for a fuel distributor with significant responsibility for CODAS or other business systems.
- Implementing software or technology for the downstream fuel industry.
Practical CODAS experience would be a strong advantage, as would knowledge of fuel distribution operations.
You’ll be comfortable understanding business processes, working hands-on with software and guiding users through change. You’ll communicate clearly, put customer service first and take ownership of a brief, progressing it independently while involving specialists when needed.
You do not need previous team management experience. Product and industry training will build on the expertise you bring.
What we offer
- Hybrid working and company car or car allowance.
- 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays.
- Option to buy and/or sell 5 days holiday each year.
- Pension, private healthcare and employee assistance programme.
- Death in service benefit and permanent health insurance.
- Product training, experienced colleagues and free onsite parking.
