Assistant Insolvency Manager - #2168116

Our client is a specialist insolvency practice in Manchester and is looking for a Assistant Manager to take a senior role in its Business Insolvency team. You'll work closely with the Partners on a varied caseload and help grow the practice. There's a clear route towards Director or Partner for the right person.

What you'll be doing

• Managing a portfolio of corporate insolvency and restructuring appointments, including CVLs, administrations, MVLs, compulsory liquidations and CVAs
• Providing technical oversight across the team's cases and reviewing statutory reports and investigation findings
• Keeping appointments compliant with legislation, the SIPs and regulatory requirements
• Supporting the Partners on complex and contentious matters
• Supervising, mentoring and developing Associates and Senior Associates
• Building relationships with directors, lenders, accountants, solicitors and other referrers
• Supporting business development and contributing to department targets

What you'll bring

• Substantial corporate insolvency experience across the full range of procedures
• CPI qualification or equivalent
• Strong technical knowledge of insolvency legislation and best practice
• Experience leading and developing a team
• Commercial awareness and confidence advising directors under financial pressure

Nice to have

• JIEB qualification
• An established network of introducers
• Experience of contentious investigations or winning new business

What's on offer

• A salary of £45,000 – £50,000 (although some flex for the right candidate)
