SEO Manager - #2167268
Move Marketing
The role
We’re looking for an SEO Manager to join our growing Digital team, working across our portfolio of B2B clients in the Industrial, Science and Technology sectors.
You’ll own SEO and AI Search (AEO/GEO) strategy and delivery across our client base, from technical audits and site migrations through to content optimisation and reporting. Working closely with Client Services, Content and Design, you’ll make sure our clients’ websites are found, trusted and converting, whether buyers are searching on Google or asking an AI assistant.
You’ll be the go-to SEO expert in the agency and a trusted advisor to clients. While SEO is the core of the role, you’ll also occasionally support the wider Digital team on always-on activity such as social media, email and analytics, so a broad understanding of digital marketing is important.
With ambitious growth plans, it’s an exciting time to join.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and deliver SEO and AI Search (AEO/GEO) strategies that drive organic visibility, qualified traffic and leads.
- Conduct technical SEO audits, keyword research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Lead the SEO workstream on website projects, including site architecture, migrations, redirects and pre and post-launch checks.
- Manage ongoing SEO retainers, prioritising and delivering technical, on-page and content improvements.
- Brief and guide the Content team on search-led content, ensuring it’s optimised for both traditional search and AI-generated answers.
- Monitor rankings, organic performance and AI Search visibility, proactively spotting issues and opportunities.
- Produce and present quarterly SEO performance reports, turning data into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Provide UX and conversion recommendations that help organic traffic turn into enquiries.
- Support the wider Digital team with always-on activity across paid media, email marketing and analytics when needed.
- Contribute SEO insight to Move’s 8 Moves of B2B framework, client workshops, proposals and new business pitches.
- Stay ahead of algorithm updates and AI Search developments, sharing knowledge and best practice across the agency.
Skills and competencies
- 4+ years’ SEO experience, with agency experience essential.
- Strong B2B experience, ideally within the Industrial, Science or Technology sectors.
- Proven track record delivering SEO strategies that grow organic performance.
- Strong technical SEO knowledge, including site audits, crawling, indexation, structured data, Core Web Vitals and website migrations.
- Good understanding of AI Search (AEO/GEO) and how to build visibility in AI-generated answers.
- Working knowledge of paid media, email marketing and wider digital channels, and confidence to support on these when required.
- Experience with GA4, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager and industry-standard SEO tools (e.g. Screaming Frog, Semrush, Ahrefs).
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into commercial recommendations.
- Confident presenting insights and recommendations to clients.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple client priorities.
- Collaborative, proactive and solutions-focused, with a genuine interest in where search is heading.

- Company bonus scheme
- 25 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays)
- Generous training and development budget to tailor your career progression
- Hybrid working (2 days in our Manchester city centre office)
- Quarterly social events and monthly team outings, with a dedicated culture committee
