Credit Controller - #2164695

Integra Talent Group are excited to be partnering with a global retail organisation based in Manchester city centre who are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join their growing finance team.

You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring payments are collected on time, resolving invoice queries, maintaining accurate customer account information and reducing the risk of bad debt.

Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 + quarterly bonus

Key Responsibilities of the Credit Controller position will include:

• Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices, proactively following up with clients to reduce debtor days.
• Chase overdue payments via phone and email.
• Resolving any payment issues or disputes effectively.
• Reconciling accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accurate records of payment and outstanding balances.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing queries or concerns related to invoices or credit terms in a professional manner.
• Conduct credit checks for new and existing clients, assess creditworthiness, and recommend credit limits.
• Prepare regular reports on aged debt, collections progress, and credit risk exposure, providing insights to senior management.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any credit related discrepancies.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

• Previous experience in a Credit Control position.
• Strong understanding of debt collection and account reconciliation.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in using financial software.
