Job Title: Digital Content & Ecommerce Executive
Location: On-site at Wellington Mill, Manchester, M3 4NF
Contract: Permanent, Full-time.
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 depending on experience.
About Us
Wisdom & Effort is a Manchester-based distributor of premium outdoor and lifestyle clothing brands. We’re passionate about great products, meaningful relationships, and doing things the right way. In addition to wholesale, we operate a growing e-commerce business serving customers across the UK and Europe.
We’re a small, friendly team who value collaboration, creativity, and work-life balance. If you're looking for a role where your ideas count and your contribution makes a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Digital Content & Ecommerce Executive to support the day-to-day digital output across Gramicci Europe, KAVU Europe, Montbell UK and Bedrock Footwear Europe.
This is a hands-on role combining creative, copywriting, ecommerce and content. You’ll be responsible for creating digital assets, writing and building email campaigns, producing website content and making day-to-day updates across our Shopify websites.
This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys getting stuck into different types of work, can switch between creative and written tasks, and is comfortable taking ownership of day-to-day digital content.
Key Responsibilities
· Write, create and build email campaigns and newsletters, from initial idea and copywriting through to design, build and scheduling.
· Write clear, engaging and on-brand copy for emails, websites, product launches, campaigns and other digital content.
· Create digital assets and graphics for email, social media, websites and other digital channels.
· Make day-to-day updates to our Shopify websites, including homepage content, banners, imagery and links.
· Adapt and resize creative for use across different digital platforms and formats.
· Develop content ideas and contribute to the planning of email, website and social content across all four brands.
· Work from brand guidelines and established tones of voice to ensure content feels consistent and appropriate across Gramicci, KAVU, Montbell and Bedrock.
· Assist with product launches, campaigns and seasonal content across our digital channels.
· Help manage and organise digital assets, website content and content calendars.
· Work closely with the ecommerce and marketing team to deliver content across multiple brands and channels.
· Support the ongoing improvement of our websites, email activity and overall digital customer experience.
What We’re Looking For
· Experience in a digital content, ecommerce, graphic design, marketing or similar role.
· Strong written English and the ability to write concise, engaging copy with an understanding of different brand voices and audiences.
· A good eye for design and strong visual skills, with an understanding of what makes effective digital creative.
· Comfortable writing copy independently rather than relying on pre-written content.
· Experience creating and building email campaigns, ideally using a platform such as Drip, Klaviyo or similar.
· Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator.
· Experience using Shopify or another ecommerce platform, with the confidence to make basic website updates.
· Organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines across different brands.
· A creative thinker who can work within established brand guidelines while bringing their own ideas.
· An interest in lifestyle, outdoor and fashion brands.
What We Offer
· Flexible working hours.
· A supportive, informal working environment with full training provided.
· Opportunities to grow and develop your career with us.
· Staff discount on clothing from our partner brands.
· A central Manchester office with good transport links.
Our office is on the third floor of a listed building without lift access, and we want to be upfront that the role is based there. We're an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences — if you need any adjustments during the application process, just let us know.
Please apply via the email address below, with Digital Content & Ecommerce Executive application in the subject line. Include an up-to-date CV, a portfolio (if you have one) and covering letter outlining why you'd be suitable for the role.
