Role: Diabetes Nurse Educator
Location: North England (Field Based, ideally Manchester)
Hours: Full-time
Contract: 12 months with expected extension (Outside IR35)
Pay: £185 per day PAYE basic excluding holiday pay or £230 per day Umbrella/LTD
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Diabetes Nurse Educator to join one of our longstanding clients, a leading global healthcare organisation.
This is a flexible field-based role covering the North of England, ideally suited to someone based around Manchester, with flexibility to provide national support when required. You'll use your diabetes expertise to deliver specialist education and training to healthcare professionals and people living with diabetes, with a particular focus on Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) technology.

The Requirements:
- Strong diabetes background is essential - candidates without diabetes experience cannot be considered
- Current or previously Registered Nurse
- Previous experience as a Diabetes Specialist Nurse (DSN) or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of diabetes care and management
- Experience delivering training to healthcare professionals and patients
- Understanding of diabetes medication, monitoring and lifestyle interventions
- Familiarity with NHS primary and secondary care
- Excellent communication, presentation and patient education skills
- Confident using technology and digital training platforms
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel regularly, including overnight stays and national travel when required
The Role:
- Deliver diabetes education and training to healthcare professionals and patients
- Provide one-to-one and group training in face-to-face and virtual settings
- Train patients and caregivers on the use of CGM systems and associated applications
- Support patients adopting new technology and build confidence in self-management
- Provide technical and clinical guidance on CGM technology
- Offer on-site and remote implementation support
- Troubleshoot CGM-related queries and provide ongoing support
- Build relationships with nurses, GPs, endocrinologists and other healthcare professionals
- Work closely with healthcare teams to support patient adherence and outcomes
- Support commercial teams with clinical expertise and insight
- Maintain accurate training and customer records within CRM systems
