Location: Manchester City Centre (Office-based during probation)
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £32,000 + 10% Discretionary Bonus

IPS Group is working with an innovative and fast-growing InsurTech that is continuing to expand its UK claims operation. Due to ongoing growth, they are looking to appoint a Credit Hire Claims Handler to join their newly established claims team in Manchester.

The Role

You will manage your own caseload of third-party Credit Hire claims from instruction through to settlement or litigation. Working closely with clients, claimants, insurers and third parties, you'll be responsible for progressing claims efficiently while delivering positive outcomes throughout the claims journey. The role will involve reviewing liability, handling quantum disputes, assessing supporting evidence and negotiating settlements. You'll also review payment packs, utilise Verify as part of the claims process and identify any potentially fraudulent activity or underwriting concerns where appropriate.
As the UK operation continues to grow, you'll play an important role in helping shape processes and delivering an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Managing a caseload of third-party Credit Hire claims from instruction through to settlement or litigation
• Reviewing liability and handling quantum disputes
• Liaising with clients, claimants, insurers and third parties to progress claims efficiently
• Reviewing payment packs and utilising Verify within the claims process
• Negotiating settlements and achieving commercially focused outcomes
• Maintaining accurate claim records, reserves and payments
• Delivering excellent levels of customer service throughout the claims lifecycle

About You:

You'll have previous Credit Hire claims experience and be confident managing your own caseload with minimal supervision. Ideally, you'll have at least two years' experience handling motor-related Credit Hire claims from inception through to settlement.
You will also have:

• A strong understanding of UK motor insurance principles and claims processes
• Knowledge of liability assessment, indemnity and quantum calculations
• The ability to investigate claims, review evidence and make sound decisions
• A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment
