Part-Time Management Accountant | Manchester city centre | Office based | Day rate negotiable

We're working with an established PE backed retail business looking to appoint a Part-Time Management Accountant to support the finance team during a busy period.

This is a hands-on role focused on delivering a smooth and accurate month-end process, ensuring management reporting deadlines are met and supporting the wider finance function where required.

The ideal candidate will have strong management accounts experience, be comfortable working independently and have previous experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

This opportunity would suit an experienced Management Accountant looking for a flexible, part-time role within a fast-paced commercial environment.

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of key month-end activities, ensuring reporting deadlines are achieved.
• Preparing monthly management accounts with supporting analysis and commentary.
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating any discrepancies.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting activities.
• Using Business Central to maintain accurate financial records and produce management information.

About You

• Fully qualified Accountant
• Previous experience preparing management accounts within a retail, ecommerce or consumer-focused business.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Confident managing month-end processes with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify issues and provide practical solutions.
