Merchandising Assistant - #2154642

The Company:

An enthusiastic Merchandising Assistant is needed to join a rapidly growing Online Ladies Fashion Retailer.  You will work across all internal teams, Marketing, Ecommerce, Buying, Customer Service and Logistics in order to maximise sales and profit through the effective management of stock by analysing, forecasting and trading product for their already successful online offering.

The Role:

• Working closely with the business owner.
• Compiling and analysing stock and sales reports. 
• Liaising with the Buyer and raising purchase orders.
• Managing supply chain.
• Good knowledge of products and management of life cycles.
• Responding to customer queries by email and phone.
• Work on improving conversation rates.
• Updating website content, product images, promotions, etc.
• Managing the briefing, creation and upload of all online products.
• Analysing market trends and have good seasonal awareness.
• Working with markdown strategies to maximize profitability.
• Weekly reporting of inventory levels.
• Monitoring slow sellers, looking out for high risk stock and make recommendations on markdowns –also reporting best seller.
• Assist with planning in promotional activity including marketing emails.
• Forecasting stock and sales.

Skills Required:

• Experience in a similar role.
• Experience using Magento and product uploading.
• Proficient with Microsoft including the use of Excel.
• Proficient in creating formulas.
• Excellent communication and organisation skills.
• Possess a flair for spotting commercial opportunities.
• Think critically about existing processes and be passionate about fashion and making improvements bringing value to the business.
