Hours: 8.30am - 3.30pm. Some shorter days may be available occasionally.
Contract: Temporary
Start: ASAP
Pay: £92.63 - £120 per day depending on qualifications and experience

Prospero Teaching is looking for Primary Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools across Stockport.

Acting as a work-finding service, we provide supply cover to a range of primary schools; from small village schools to large secondary schools. We are currently looking for Teaching Assistants to support students in Early Years all the way up to Key Stage 2 on a flexible supply basis. There may also be some long-term opportunities available.

Prospero Teaching work with both experienced Teaching Assistants and those first embarking on their career in education by helping you find your next position. Some contracts may be extended from day-to-day bookings to longer term cover.

Primary Teaching Assistant - responsibilities

· Provide general classroom support to pupils
· Offer 1:1 support as and when required
· Participate in wider school life

Primary Teaching Assistant - requirements

· Hold Right to Work in the UK - no sponsorship available
· Hold an Enhanced Child DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to process a new application
· Provide two professional references that cover the last two years, including any appropriate child-related work experience
· Appropriate CV history including mention of any employment/studying gaps
· Teaching Assistant qualifications desirable (e.g Level 2 or 3)
· SEN/SEMH Awareness desirable
· Previous experience working in a UK school, ideally up to at least 6 months
· Updated training including safeguarding, prevent and allergy + anaphylaxis training (desirable however not essential as training is provided)
