Field Service Engineer (Reach Stackers/Heavy Equipment) - #2153992

Alexander James Recruiting is currently looking for an experienced engineer to work for a well-established supplier of various specialist lifting equipment & material handling products to cover their client base across Greater Manchester and the North West. With a package to include a competitive salary and earning potential through overtime, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with a background working on heavy plant, agriculture or lifting equipment. 

Responsibilities

• Servicing a fleet of reach stackers for a client base across Greater Manchester and the North West
• Working on a variety of other specialist heavy lifting and material handling equipment to include cranes, container handlers and heavy forklifts
• Developing a knowledge of a wide variety of equipment within a technically developing fleet
• Reporting to the Operations Director to ensure all equipment servicing is carried out efficiently 
• Representing the business in a professional manner when on site

Requirements 

The company have a preference for hiring an individual with a background in maintenance/servicing on reach stackers, however, this isn’t essential. They would also consider applicants from over backgrounds such as heavy plant, agriculture or other heavy equipment industries. It is essential that you have a good understanding of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic principles and are ready to work outdoors all year round. In terms of location, you’ll need to be based in the North West of England. You must hold aa full, UK driver’s license.
