Engage Education is recruiting a staff member to complete a Level 3 apprenticeship based in one of our SEN Schools.

This is a dedicated 11-month apprenticeship programme, providing the opportunity to gain valuable experience supporting pupils across the primary age range while working towards a recognised Level 3 Classroom Support/Teaching Assistant qualification.

We are seeking a reliable, motivated individual who is fully committed to signing the learning agreement and completing the full 11-month programme.

Key Responsibilities

Working alongside class teachers and the wider school team, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group classroom support to pupils
• Assist teachers with delivering engaging learning activities across the curriculum
• Support pupils with reading, writing, maths and other classroom-based activities
• Help prepare and organise classroom resources and learning materials
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence
• Support pupils with their social, emotional and communication development
• Provide additional support for children with SEN and additional needs, where required
• Assist pupils with individual learning targets and support plans
• Help create a safe, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
• Work closely with teachers, teaching assistants and other members of the school team

Requirements:

• Commitment: Strong dedication to completing the full 11-month learning agreement and apprenticeship programme
• Mindset: Patient, nurturing, reliable and enthusiastic about working with children
• Communication: Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Academics: GCSE Maths & English Grade C/4+ (or equivalent) preferred
• Eligibility: Not currently enrolled in another government-funded course
