About the Role

My client is a leading UK motor and home insurer looking for an experienced Senior Pricing Analyst to join their Pricing and Proposition team within the Telematics Pricing function.

The role will use behavioural data, advanced analytics and predictive modelling to shape pricing strategy, improve risk selection and drive portfolio performance. You will work closely with pricing and telematics specialists, using your technical expertise to influence key business decisions and support the development of the telematics proposition.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance predictive pricing models, identifying opportunities to improve performance and commercial value.
• Work with high-volume telematics and sensor-based data to generate actionable pricing insights.
• Develop analytical frameworks, reporting and monitoring solutions to support pricing strategy and decision-making.
• Assess new data sources to improve risk segmentation, predictive performance and pricing sophistication.
• Champion best practice in coding, automation, analytical governance and pricing methodology.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to support pricing and model governance.
• Act as a subject matter expert, sharing technical and pricing knowledge with colleagues.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.

Experience & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in a pricing role within the motor insurance industry, ideally with exposure to telematics.
• Minimum 2:1 degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or a related quantitative discipline.
• Strong experience using Python and SQL with high-volume datasets in cloud-based analytics environments.
• Experience developing statistical and predictive models using GBMs, GLMs or similar techniques.
• Experience building and deploying predictive models using Python.
• RADAR experience is highly desirable.
• Good understanding of insurance pricing, products and data science.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
