We are working with a highly regarded and award-winning law firm seeking a Solicitor to join its established Court of Protection and Private Client team in Manchester.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

· Assisting a Deputy in managing a national caseload of high-value Property & Affairs deputyships and trust matters.

· Managing your own caseload of smaller Court of Protection matters and building your practice.

· Meeting clients and families both in and out of the office.

· Working closely with Clinical Negligence colleagues to support clients with complex needs.

· Assisting with the continued growth and development of the Court of Protection team.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

· 2-5 years' PQE, ideally within Court of Protection and/or Private Client work.

· Experience handling Property & Affairs Court of Protection matters.

· A strong understanding of the Mental Capacity Act, Code of Practice and Court of Protection Rules.

· Solid Private Client experience.

· Knowledge of welfare benefits.

· STEP qualification, or an interest in pursuing it.

· Excellent interpersonal, communication and client care skills.
