What you'll do:
As Group Reporting Manager, your day-to-day responsibilities will centre around managing consolidated financial reporting for the entire organisation. You will play a pivotal role in preparing monthly management accounts, producing detailed reporting packs for both internal use and board presentations. By partnering with overseas entities, you will help ensure timely planning cycles while providing valuable analytical support. Your keen eye for process improvement will allow you to implement changes that boost efficiency across the finance team. Success in this role requires not only technical proficiency but also excellent communication skills as you connect with colleagues at all levels.
- Manage the preparation of monthly group management accounts, ensuring variance analysis and insightful commentary are delivered to stakeholders.
- Perform group consolidation processes efficiently, maintaining accuracy across all financial data sets.
- Produce comprehensive group reporting packs including consolidated balance sheets, statutory profit & loss statements, cash flow reports, and coordinate board reporting materials.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes with meticulous attention to detail, including balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Review and reconcile intercompany balances regularly, ensuring agreements and eliminations are handled smoothly and efficiently.
- Present financial performance insights to senior management during monthly review meetings, facilitating understanding and informed decision-making.
- Assist with the preparation of group budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections by collaborating with various departments.
- Business partner with overseas entities to ensure timely reporting cycles and provide support through detailed financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and relevant regulations by monitoring policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal teams as well as external auditors and tax advisors to maintain high standards of financial integrity.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy within the finance function.
- Support the preparation of ad-hoc financial reports for external stakeholders as required.
What you bring:
- Professional certification such as ACA or ACCA is preferred for this role due to its technical demands.
- Strong knowledge of FRS102 and UK GAAP is essential for accurate financial reporting within the group structure.
- Experience in financial reporting, consolidation processes, and detailed financial analysis is highly valued.
- Excellent communication skills are necessary for presenting complex information clearly to senior management and stakeholders.
- Interpersonal skills are vital for collaborating effectively across departments and international teams.
