If you're an experienced Residential Conveyancer who values quality over quantity, this could be a refreshing change from the traditional high-volume conveyancing environment.
Our client is a well-established, medium-sized law firm based in Manchester city centre, offering a genuinely service-led alternative to volume conveyancing. Rather than expecting fee earners to manage 80–100+ files, the firm deliberately maintains manageable caseloads so its people can provide the level of care, communication and attention that clients deserve.
The Role
Residential Conveyancer to manage their own residential conveyancing matters from start to finish, providing clients with a personal and responsive service throughout their transaction.
With a deliberately low caseload, you'll have the time to:
- Build strong relationships with your clients and become a trusted point of contact
- Remain accessible and communicate regularly throughout the transaction
- Proactively manage files and anticipate what needs to happen next
- Chase matters effectively and keep transactions moving
- Deliver efficient turnaround times without sacrificing accuracy or service
- Take genuine ownership of your clients and their transactions
You'll also be an experienced presence within the wider team, providing support, guidance and mentoring to more junior colleagues.
Residential Conveyancer to closely with the department head and established deputy team manager, helping to share your knowledge and act as a reliable technical point of reference.
The department currently has around four fee earners plus support staff and is expected to grow again over time.

What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from qualified residential conveyancers who have:
- Around two years' post-qualification experience, alongside substantial previous conveyancing experience
- Strong technical knowledge and the confidence to operate as a senior member of a conveyancing team
- Experience managing residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion
- The ability to manage a caseload efficiently while maintaining high standards of accuracy
- A willingness to mentor and support more junior colleagues
You should also be comfortable working predominantly from the firm's Manchester city-centre office, where your experience and presence will be particularly valuable to the wider team.
