25 years trading, and we're currently sitting on the highest number of contractors out working we've ever had. Our biggest billers are in the contract team. Two of them are seriously experienced operators with locked-down niches and accounts, backed by a delivery team and a group of consultants who are ambitious and already winning.

The US contract team is having a strong year too.

So this isn't a rescue job. It's a growth hire, and we want it filled quickly.

The role

You'll run a contract desk as a new business consultant. Winning accounts, building a contractor book, and keeping runners out and renewing.

If you've got a niche you know inside out, bring it. If you'd rather build on where we're already strong, we'll show you exactly how the big accounts were won, because we've got the templates of success to teach it rather than a vague promise of "support".

You'll also have the chance to hire into your desk from day one. If you want to build a team and move into management, the runway is there and it starts immediately, not after a two-year audition.

What good looks like

• You've billed contract recruitment properly and can talk us through the numbers
• You can win new business from a standing start, not just service accounts someone else opened
• You understand margin, rates, compliance and how to keep a contractor book renewing
• You've got a view on which market you want to own and why
• You're ambitious about earnings and about what you build, and you'd rather be measured on output than hours
• Management ambition is a bonus, not a requirement

What's in it for you
