Location: New Smithfield Market, Manchester, M11 2WP
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time, Ongoing Work
Hours: 07:30 - 17:00, 5 days out of 7 (including Sundays)

We are currently recruiting experienced Warehouse Operatives to join a busy and growing operation based at New Smithfield Market, Manchester.

This role is ideal for candidates with previous cold store or freezer warehouse experience who are comfortable working in temperature-controlled environments and undertaking physical warehouse duties.

• Stocking and replenishing warehouse inventory
• Goods-in and goods-out duties
• Loading and unloading vehicles and lorries
• Container loading and unloading (typically 4 to 6-hour container shifts)
• Picking and packing customer orders
• Assisting with inventory and stock control
• Working within cold store and freezer environments
• Maintaining a clean and safe working area
• Following all health and safety procedures

• Previous cold store or freezer warehouse experience is essential
• Experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics environments
• Good manual handling experience
• Ability to work in chilled and frozen temperature conditions
• Reliable, hardworking, and flexible approach to work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

This role involves working across:

• Ambient warehouse areas
• Chilled storage areas
• Freezer environments
• Loading bays and container operations

Candidates must be physically fit as regular lifting, loading, unloading, and manual handling duties are involved.

The following PPE is mandatory:

• Safety boots
• High-visibility vest
