Health & Safety Manager

Location: UK / Field-Based

Employment Type: Permanent

Salary: £45,000–£50,000 + Car + Benefits

D7 Recruitment is partnering with a growing engineering and distribution business to recruit an experienced Health & Safety Manager. This is a hands-on, visible and client-facing role supporting engineering and service teams across customer sites throughout the UK.

The Role

• Provide practical H&S advice across client sites.
• Drive consistent H&S standards and procedures.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses.
• Support RAMS, permits and safe systems of work.
• Ensure contractor and site documentation is in place.
• Coach and influence managers and employees.
• Monitor H&S performance and drive improvements.
• Support training and behavioural safety initiatives.
• Improve and standardise H&S systems and processes.
• Produce reports and improvement actions.
• Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Travel regularly to client sites across the UK.

What We're Looking For

• H&S experience within an operational environment.
• Engineering, manufacturing, industrial or technical services background.
• NEBOSH General Certificate.
• IOSH membership.
• Experience with CDM.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Confidence working with operational teams, contractors and clients.
• Practical, solutions-focused approach.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel.

Desirable

• Engineering environment experience.
• Construction-related project experience.
