Our Client, a Greater Manchester council is seeking an Adult’s Social Worker to join their AMHP Team.

Responsibilities of this role:

• Undertake Mental Health Act assessments and make decisions in accordance with relevant legislation, codes of practice and professional standards.
• Coordinate and lead complex assessments involving individuals experiencing mental health crises, working collaboratively with partner agencies and professionals.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on mental health legislation, safeguarding and risk management.
• Complete high-quality assessments, reports and legal documentation within required timescales.
• Participate in the AMHP rota, including responding to urgent and out-of-hours assessments where required.
• Maintain strong partnership working with health services, police, local authorities and community organisations to ensure positive outcomes.
• Work on a full-time, primarily office-based basis (typically 3-4 days per week in the office), whilst undertaking community-based assessments and visits as required.

Working Pattern: Full-time AMHP. Primarily office-based, with an expectation of 3-4 days per week in the office. The role also requires travel to undertake Mental Health Act assessments and related duties across the local area.

Requirements of this role:

• Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
• Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying social work experience
