The Opportunity

LGP Consultancy is currently recruiting on behalf of an established and highly respected commercial fit-out contractor for 2 experienced Fit Out Project Managers to join their growing team.

These are two separate permanent vacancies, created to support an expanding pipeline of commercial and retail fit-out projects.

We are looking for experienced Project Managers with a strong background in commercial fit out, fast-track projects and retail environments. Candidates should be comfortable taking ownership of projects from pre-construction through to completion and working within demanding programmes.

The ideal candidates will be Manchester or North West based, although applications from further afield will be considered where candidates are comfortable with the travel and working-away requirements.

About the Role

As a Fit Out Project Manager, you will have responsibility for the successful delivery of commercial and retail projects, working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, site teams and senior management.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing commercial fit-out projects from pre-construction through to practical completion.

- Taking full ownership of project delivery, programme, quality and commercial performance.

- Delivering fast-track retail and commercial fit-out projects to demanding programmes.

- Managing site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.

- Developing and monitoring detailed project programmes.

- Identifying potential delays, risks and issues and implementing solutions.

- Managing project budgets, costs, variations and commercial performance.

- Maintaining strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

- Reviewing drawings, specifications and project documentation.

- Managing procurement and subcontractor packages.

- Leading project and progress meetings.

- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality.

- Managing snagging, commissioning and final handover.

- Providing regular project updates to senior management and clients.

What We're Looking For

We are specifically looking for experienced Fit Out Project Managers with a proven track record of delivering:

• Commercial fit-out projects
• Retail fit-out projects
• Fast-track projects
• CAT A / CAT B fit outs
• Refurbishment projects
• Projects within live environments
• High-value or complex fit-out schemes
• Projects involving multiple subcontractors and trades

Strong retail and fast-track fit-out experience is essential.

You should be commercially aware, highly organised and confident managing projects independently. Excellent communication skills are important, as you will regularly liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and site teams.

Location & Working Away

The preferred location is Manchester or the wider North West.

Candidates based elsewhere in the UK will also be considered where they are able and willing to travel and work away from home when required.

Due to the nature of fast-track commercial and retail projects, flexibility around travel and accommodation is an important requirement.
