MPJ Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-established and expanding insurance organisation who are looking to strengthen their claims team with an experienced Credit Hire Claims Handler.

If you're confident handling Credit Hire claims and enjoy working on cases where investigation, negotiation and commercial decision-making are key, this could be an excellent next move.

Joining an established claims team, you will take responsibility for a portfolio of Credit Hire claims, managing cases from initial notification through to successful resolution.

You'll deal with a wide range of stakeholders including claimants, solicitors, insurers and accident management companies, using your knowledge and negotiation skills to achieve appropriate and commercially viable settlements.

• Take ownership of a caseload of Credit Hire claims from notification through to settlement.

• Investigate claims and establish liability, indemnity and overall claim position.

• Assess the validity and reasonableness of Credit Hire claims.

• Negotiate settlements with solicitors, insurers and other third parties.

• Challenge areas including hire duration, rates, need and impecuniosity where appropriate.

• Review statements, invoices, hire agreements and other supporting documentation.

• Identify opportunities to control and minimise claims expenditure.

• Proactively manage disputed, complex and high-value claims.

• Maintain accurate and comprehensive claims records.

• Ensure claims are handled in accordance with internal procedures, industry standards and regulatory requirements.

• Recognise and escalate potential fraud or suspicious activity.

• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Deliver a professional and efficient service throughout the claims journey.

We're looking for someone who already has experience within Credit Hire claims and is comfortable managing their own caseload.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Previous experience handling Credit Hire claims.

• A solid understanding of Credit Hire processes and principles.

• Knowledge of liability, indemnity and claims investigation.

• Experience negotiating settlements and dealing with disputed claims.

• The ability to confidently challenge costs and identify opportunities for mitigation.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent organisation and time-management skills.

• A proactive and commercially aware approach.

• The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team.

Experience within insurance, claims, legal, credit hire or accident management environments would be highly beneficial!

• £28,000 - £35,000 salary, depending on experience
