Child Psychology Graduate - SEMH & Behaviour Support

Aspire People are seeking passionate Child Psychology Graduates to support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs across a range of schools in Manchester.
This role would suit someone who is particularly interested in child development, behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
The Role:
* Supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs on a 1:1 or small-group basis
* Helping pupils manage emotions and develop positive coping strategies
* Supporting behaviour plans and individual support strategies
* Building trusting and positive relationships with pupils
* Encouraging confidence, resilience, and independence
* Supporting pupils during lessons, transitions, and unstructured times
* Working alongside teachers, pastoral staff, and SENCOs
* Recording observations and feeding back on pupil progress
The Ideal Candidate:
* A degree in Child Psychology, Psychology, Education, or a related subject
* A strong interest in SEMH, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing
* Experience working with children or young people is desirable
* A calm, patient, and consistent approach
* Confident communication and strong interpersonal skills
* The ability to remain composed when supporting challenging behaviour
* A genuine commitment to helping pupils reach their potential
