An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Software Solutions Architect to lead high-performing, agile development teams in designing and delivering innovative, high-quality digital solutions. This is a pivotal role for a technical leader who thrives on solving complex challenges and creating impactful software that enhances user experiences across the globe.

As a Solutions Architect, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with customer stakeholders and enterprise architects to shape both functional and non-functional designs. With a clear understanding of project complexity, effort estimation, and technical trade-offs, they'll provide strategic guidance throughout the development lifecycle.

In this hands-on leadership position, the architect will inspire and guide a multi-skilled engineering team-mentoring individuals, driving performance, and supporting their ongoing career development. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing technical strategy with people management.

The architect will also contribute to the broader technology strategy-developing architectural standards, advocating for modern tools and techniques, and mentoring fellow architects and engineers. It's a chance to influence large-scale digital transformation projects while continually developing professionally.

Key Requirements (Essential):
  • Proven experience in delivering software designs for scalable, multi-tiered modern applications.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end solution architecture and the ability to negotiate and communicate effectively with enterprise-level stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate non-functional requirements (e.g. security, performance, scalability) into software design.
  • Practical experience working with major public cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, including SaaS and PaaS solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills-capable of clearly articulating technical concepts in both verbal and written formats, including technical documentation and presentations.
  • Confidence in making informed decisions in fast-paced, agile delivery environments.
  • Track record of mentoring and developing junior engineers and contributing to a positive team culture.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
  • Accountability for complex technology delivery projects, ranging from single-team solutions to multi-team programmes.
  • Experience supporting business development efforts in collaboration with sales or account management teams.
  • Strong people management skills-setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, and delivering constructive feedback.
  • Ability to manage time effectively across multiple high-impact projects.
  • Passion for technology and an active contributor to technical communities or forums.
  • Thought leadership through blogging, public speaking, or mentoring.
