  • Full-time, Monday-Friday

A senior, hands-on opportunity to lead the implementation and continual improvement of an integrated management system across quality, environmental and occupational health and safety standards.

Why this company?

If you are an experienced compliance professional who enjoys turning standards into practical systems and seeing those improvements take hold across a business this is an opportunity to make a visible impact.

You will join a growing dynamic organisation at an important stage of its journey. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will have the remit to assess the current position, build a clear implementation plan and embed an integrated approach to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

This is a role with real ownership. You will combine strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on approach: strengthening processes, preparing the business for certification and helping teams understand the part they play in maintaining high standards.

What would make you a perfect fit?

You will already have experience operating at Compliance Manager, QHSE Manager, IMS Manager or senior advisor level. You will be confident leading management-system implementation and improvement, influencing stakeholders and keeping momentum across several workstreams.

A background in engineering, manufacturing or construction would be preferred. Just as important is your ability to make compliance clear, relevant and workable for colleagues at every level of the organisation.

An outline of your key responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap for implementing, integrating and maintaining management systems aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Complete gap analyses and translate findings into prioritised, practical improvement plans.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures and controls, with strong document control and clear accountability.
  • Plan and lead the internal audit programme, working with process owners to address findings and strengthen performance.
  • Coordinate external certification, surveillance and recertification audits, ensuring the business is prepared and evidence is readily available.
  • Lead the management of non-conformances, corrective actions, root-cause investigations, risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor compliance obligations and support the business in responding to relevant regulatory or standards-based changes.
  • Set meaningful compliance measures, facilitate management reviews and present clear recommendations to the senior leadership team.
  • Coach and support colleagues, building awareness and helping to embed a positive culture of ownership and continual improvement.

What you will bring

Proven experience taking ownership of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, including implementation, integration, certification preparation and system improvement.

Strong internal-audit capability, with experience managing findings, corrective actions and root-cause analysis.

Experience gained within engineering, manufacturing or construction is preferred.

A recognised lead auditor, quality, environmental or health and safety qualification would be advantageous.

The confidence to challenge constructively, influence senior stakeholders and build effective relationships across operational teams.

A pragmatic, organised approach that balances detail, commercial priorities and long-term improvement.

What's on offer for you

  • Highly competitive remuneration package
  • A senior role with the scope to shape the integrated compliance framework and influence how the business develops.
  • Direct access to senior decision-makers, with the visibility needed to make sustainable improvements.
  • A Manchester based opportunity within a growing organisation.
