Payroller - #2096824
PARALLEL RECRUITMENT LTD
Payroller
£28,000 - £30,000
Manchester City Centre
Hybrid working – only 1 day per week required in the office
If flexibility and the option to work from home is important to you this Payroll position is a brilliant opportunity.
Working at a firm of accountants with an excellent reputation it offers everything you could want from your next role.
What makes this role stand out?
Payroll roles can often look very similar on paper, but this opportunity has one major difference: flexibility.
The firm only requires you to be in the Manchester office 1 day per week. Beyond that, you can choose what works best for you. You can work 4 days from home, come into the office more often, or be office-based full-time if that suits you better.
For anyone who wants the benefit of a Manchester city centre employer without being tied to the commute every day, this is a genuinely attractive setup.
The role
You’ll be involved in processing payrolls for a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring everything is completed accurately and on time. Because this is a firm of accountants, you’ll get exposure to a broad mix of businesses, sectors and payroll requirements, giving the role more variety than a standard in-house payroll position.
Duties will include:
- Processing weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and monthly payrolls for a portfolio of clients
- Calculating PAYE, National Insurance, statutory payments, pensions and deductions
- Managing starters, leavers, tax code changes and payroll adjustments
- Submitting RTI reports to HMRC
- Supporting with pension submissions and auto-enrolment duties
- Liaising with clients to gather payroll information and resolve queries
- Producing payslips, reports and payroll summaries
- Dealing with payroll queries in a professional and helpful manner
- Supporting the wider payroll team during busy periods
You’ll also be joining a team where people work together, support each other and pull together when things get busy. It’s a relaxed, friendly environment, but still professional, client-focused and well run.
What we’re looking for
The ideal candidate will have a few years’ payroll experience and be comfortable working accurately to deadlines.
Previous experience within an accountancy practice, payroll bureau or client payroll environment would be ideal, but it isn’t essential. The firm is open to considering someone who has built a solid payroll foundation and is looking for a role where they can keep developing.
You’ll need to be organised, accurate and confident communicating with colleagues and clients.
Why apply?
This is a brilliant opportunity if you want:
- A payroll role with genuine client variety
- A highly respected firm with an excellent reputation
- A small and supportive payroll team
- A relaxed, down-to-earth working environment
- The option to work from home up to 4 days per week
- A city centre role without the need to commute every day
- A business that genuinely looks after its staff
If you’re a Payroller looking for more flexibility, more variety and a better working environment, this role is well worth exploring.
