About the Role On behalf of a leading logistics provider, we are seeking an experienced Air Freight Operator to join their team in Manchester. This role involves executing day-to-day international air freight movements, managing both import and export shipments, and maintaining high standards of service for a global client base.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end air freight movements, including bookings, documentation, and customs clearances for imports and exports.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing accurate tracking updates, airline status reports, and handling transport quotes.
• Coordinate with airlines, handling agents, and domestic couriers to ensure secure and timely cargo transit.
• Ensure compliance with aviation security regulations, HMRC protocols, and standard customs procedures.

What We Are Looking For

• 1–2 years of proven experience within air freight forwarding, handling imports, exports, or both.
• Strong knowledge of air waybills (AWB), customs documentation, and airline schedules.
• Familiarity with freight management software, such as CargoWise, and airport community systems.
• Ability to work from the client's Manchester office.
