Here at GXO, we are currently on the search for a Stock & Admin First Line Manager to join our team in Trafford Park, Manchester, on our Costa contract. You’ll provide a consistent, strong and effective stock management operation across all shifts within the local operation. Providing support to the National Stock Manager in developing the stock-loss strategy as well as ensuring all stock and admin processes are fully compliant with NSF.


This is a full-time, permanent position, working a rotating 5-from-7 shift of; 06:00 till 14:00, 10:00 till 18:00 and 14:00 till 22:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £35,000.00 per annum and 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:


  • Managing and coaching a team of Stock & Admin Clerks across all shifts on days and nights
  • Driving improvements in stock loss and claims for the company to achieve contractual targets, effectively manage and support all CI initiatives in the business
  • Ensuring all stock and admin processes are fully compliant with BRCGS / NSF standards
  • Strong commercial focus and be able to effectively communicate with other departments, depots and the customer


What you need to succeed at GXO:


  • Proven experience in a similar inventory management role
  • Excellent understanding of forecasting and planning principles and systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience managing conflicting priorities, with the ability to plan and organise a stock & admin operation
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Access and Excel with good knowledge of WMS
