Job Role: Fire Safety Apprenticeship

Reporting to: CBRE Fire Safety Consultant

Location: Manchester (Approx 1 Hour Radius)

The Role:

To undertake a fire safety apprenticeship leading to a nationally recognised qualification and accreditation through a structured training program of academic study and site related work-based learning to gain the required skills and knowledge to support the requirements of CBRE Global Workplace Solutions QHSE Team. The qualification is Level 3 Certificate in Fire Safety which is suitable for persons who will assess fire safety in simple buildings, such as small shops, offices and industrial units with a simple layout and easy means of escape.



Job Responsibilities:

  • To complete a minimum of 18 months programme of training to be conducted within the CBRE QHSE team at client locations and working remotely from home, supplemented with academic study
  • Attending all apprenticeship studies throughout the programme via Online virtual classroom tutor lead sessions covering various subjects of Fire Safety, along with self-study days
  • The apprenticeship programme may consist of 6 modules including the below:

    1) Introduction to role of fire safety advisor
  • 2) Principles of fire safety
  • 3) Auditing simple buildings
  • 4) Planning and gathering evidence
    5) Workplace audit
    6) Personal professional development
Qualifications:



The role requires the following:



· 5 GCSEs A-C including Maths and English or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above)

Person Specification:



  • A basic understanding of fire safety principles, emergency response procedures and evacuation protocols is mandatory
  • Willingness to Learn- An eagerness to learn and continuously update knowledge on new industry teachings and evolving scenarios is highly valued
  • Ability to create and manage professional documents in Microsoft Word and effectively organise and analyse data using Microsoft Excel
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle is desirable
