MedEquip4Kids is a children’s charity dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of babies, children and young people across the UK. We provide essential medical equipment and facilities not funded through limited NHS budgets, while our Hummingbird Project delivers mental health workshops for schools and young people.
The Role
Hours: 15 hours per week (flexible working available)
Location: Hybrid, with occasional travel to Manchester for meetings and events
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £10,400–£11,200 (£26,000–£28,000 FTE equivalent)

We are looking for an organised and motivated individual to support our trusts and foundations fundraising programme. Working closely with the Fundraising Manager, you will help secure funding through well-written grant applications, prospect research and excellent funder stewardship.
This role is ideal for someone looking to begin or develop a career in charity fundraising. We welcome applicants with transferable skills in writing, administration, communications or research.
Key Responsibilities
Trusts and Foundations Fundraising
- Write compelling funding applications with support from the Fundraising Manager
- Tailor applications and supporting content for individual funders
- Contribute towards agreed fundraising income targets
Research and Grant Management
- Maintain accurate funding pipelines and application records
- Research new trusts and foundations funding opportunities
- Keep Raiser's Edge CRM records updated and organised
Reporting and Communications
- Support the completion of funder reports and project updates
- Ensure GDPR and safeguarding procedures are followed when handling data and images
- Contribute content for social media, newsletters and impact reports
Relationship Management and Events
- Support positive relationships with existing and prospective funders
- Help coordinate project visits and supporter engagement opportunities
- Attend charity events as an ambassador for MedEquip4Kids
