Laravel Developer – Manchester (Permanent)

Candour are working on exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing start-up in the legal sector as they expand their development team over the next 12 months. This hire will play a pivotal role in the company’s scaling journey, with the chance to have a direct impact on its growth and future direction.

The Role

We’re seeking a highly driven Laravel Developer with strong PHP and JavaScript skills to support existing legal clients in this service-based industry. The goal is to build a platform that can be sold on, creating a new sub-sector of the business as a SaaS offering.

You’ll be working within a small but expanding development team, based in Manchester, initially spending 2-3 days a week in the office, with increasing flexibility over time (probably after month 1, you'll do 1-2 days on-site, unless you prefer going in).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using Laravel, Vue.js, MySQL, HTML, and CSS
  


• Collaborate with the team to drive innovation and improve the product
  


• Work with existing legal clients while helping to shape a scalable SaaS platform
  


• Take ownership of projects with autonomy and contribute ideas to improve the business


• Ensure high-quality coding standards and performance optimisation


• Maintain internal systems used by employees, as well as customer facing apps.

Requirements

• 
  3+ years of commercial experience using Laravel, Vue.js, MySQL, HTML, and CSS


• Strong PHP and JavaScript skills
  


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced start-up environment
  


• A passion for problem-solving and continuous learning
  


• Driven and ambitious, with a desire to progress into a leadership role
