Assistant Management Accountant

As Assistant Management Accountant, you will support the finance department with timely and accurate reporting, financial insight, and process improvements.

Your work will contribute to the business’s global operations, including multi-currency postings and assisting with sales tax compliance across different regions.

You will also help drive continuous improvement across financial processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance at every stage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.


• Support variance analysis and help deliver accurate, timely financial reporting.


• Contribute to improvements in month-end reporting processes.


• Assist with payroll journals and support the preparation of payroll-related statutory returns.


• Process accruals, prepayments, and other journals to ensure accurate financial records.


• Work with other departments to collect data and support the preparation of financial insights.


• Support multi-currency postings and help ensure accurate sales tax coding.


• Perform routine balance sheet reconciliations and flag discrepancies.


• Assist with bank reconciliations and transactional processes in collaboration with the Transactional Manager.


• Provide data and support ad-hoc financial analysis.


• Help prepare audit documentation and assist with external audit processes.

What we're looking for:

• Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA (or equivalent).


• Experience in management accounts, ideally within a fast-paced or e-commerce business.


• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.


• Familiarity with multi-currency transactions and international sales tax.


• Proactive and collaborative approach; able to work independently and within a team.


• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
