What you’ll do:

You'll be instrumental in driving our IT strategy, leading our teams, and ensuring our systems are secure and efficient across the UK, Netherlands, and Romania. Typical responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Leadership: Developing and implementing our global IT strategy and security policies, aligning them with our overall business goals.
• Team Management: Leading and mentoring geographically distributed IT teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
• Project Management: Overseeing complex IT projects, including system implementations and the integration of acquired businesses.
• Infrastructure and Security: Managing our IT infrastructure, systems administration, and security technologies, with a focus on cloud-based solutions.
• Compliance and Governance: Ensuring compliance with relevant standards such as ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus and GDPR.
• Budget and Vendor Management: Managing substantial IT budgets and building strong relationships with global IT vendors and service providers.
• Travel: Undertaking regular travel to our UK, Netherlands, and Romania locations, with additional travel as we grow.

Requirements

What you’ll bring:

In a nutshell, we're looking for someone with:

• Significant senior IT management and internal security experience with increasing responsibility, ideally in a scaling tech company.
• A strong track record of developing and implementing global IT strategies and security policies, ideally in scaling international organisations.
• Experience managing complex IT projects and integrating acquired businesses.
• Deep technical understanding across IT infrastructure, systems administration, and security, with cloud experience (GCP preferred).
• Knowledge of relevant compliance standards.
• Proven experience leading global IT teams across multiple time zones and cultures.
• Experience managing IT budgets and vendor relationships.
• Strategic thinking, business awareness, and a proactive, results-oriented approach.
• Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
